Iyovwaye Continues Consultations Across Delta Central
Chris Iyovwaye participated in a two-day consultative engagement across Delta Central as part of the NDC’s activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The engagement included visits to communities including Ewu in Ughelli South Local Government Area. Iyovwaye was accompanied by NDC stakeholders, including Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and other candidates from the party.
The consultations provided an opportunity for party representatives to meet with local stakeholders and discuss issues affecting communities in the area.
Vanguard’s report on the engagement included comments from NDC stakeholder Valentine Nneoma Oyemike, who spoke about his assessment of Iyovwaye’s business and leadership experience.
Oyemike pointed particularly to Iyovwaye’s experience as founder of Wellmann Group and argued that his experience outside government could be relevant to questions around investment, industrial development, employment and the productive use of Delta’s resources.
Those comments are attributable to Oyemike and should be presented as his assessment rather than as an independently established conclusion about Iyovwaye’s suitability for office.
The consultation itself forms part of the broader series of grassroots and stakeholder engagements being undertaken by the NDC and its candidates across Delta State.
Such engagements have become a recurring feature of Iyovwaye’s recent public activities as the 2027 election approaches. Vanguard News
